From Landon Gray - My name is Landon Gray, and I am an independent artist originally from West Jefferson, NC, up in the holler around the Blue Ridge Parkway. Counting up all of my musical endeavors, I have written, recorded, produced, and released two full-length albums,  two EPs, and 19 singles. The most recent being the “A Brief Cosmic Cinematic Experience” EP, where I wrote each song, played all the instruments, recorded and produced the whole thing; all from my one bedroom apartment’s living room.
I’ve played shows all over the state, from Ashe County to Raleigh to Charlotte, fronted my own band and have even been signed by two small labels during this wild ride!
Under the heavy influence of the masters such as The Beatles, Elvis , and many more modern artists like–fellow North Carolinian musicians–The Avett Brothers, I have crafted a new but uniquely nostalgic sound, that blends together my surroundings and experiences. My hope is that my music will resonate with people, that when someone listens to one of my little songs that I’ve recorded in my living room, huddled over my guitar and computer, that they feel something, or think about things that maybe they wouldn’t have ordinarily considered.
So if you’re feeling like your ears need a good wiggle and your toes need a good tap, look me up, wherever you get your tunes, and maybe you’ll find what you’ve been itching for.
 
 
An Original band out of Raleigh, NC, WhoIAre’s style is a blend of Psychedelic, Funk, Soul and Rock. Their latest release, “Paradox”, was mixed and mastered by Dwarf Star Studios (Carrboro)

Since forming in 2006, Kim Ware and the Good Graces have toured the country, performed at countless festivals (including LEAF, where Ware was a finalist in the 2019 NewSong Singer-Songwriter Competition), and shared stages with a long list of renowned artists including Indigo Girls, Sierra Ferrell, Granville Automatic, and The Old Ceremony. She has been compared to artists like Neko Case, Drive-By Truckers, Phoebe Bridgers, and the Weepies, and has cultivated a dedicated fan base over the course of the last 15 years.

Squatch is led by Burke County native Mat Masterson. His skillful songwriting and lyrical prowess shine, and yet still leave plenty of room for the world class musicians in the band to bring the house down. The songs are steeped in the joys and sorrows of growing up in the Blue Ridge Mountains, traveling the world to escape them, and eventually landing right back at home to focus on family and community. Squatch is an ever changing, ever growing collective of musicians hand-picked by Masterson throughout his years back home in WNC from the finest players the region has to offer.
 
Formed in Austin in the spring of 2022, Irondequoit Dodge started when guitarist Eric Legeer and banjo player Rita Bliss swiped right on Vampr. They bonded over their respective home towns near Rochester NY and set out to find a bassist. Jimmie Scott Calhoun responded to their craigslist ad and fit right in. They recorded an EP in July and stay busy performing in and around Austin, TX.

Krave Amiko began in early 2019 by Rob Walsh and a handful of songs crafted by combining homemade lo-fi acoustic guitar samples, trip-hop inspired rhythm sections, and lyrical storytelling. Kelsey Montanez is one of Chicago’s best kept secrets. Both intimate and ecstatic, smokey and scorching, her potent blend of blues, pop, and psychedelia has been turning heads for over a decade. Among the singer-songwriter’s many talents, it’s Montanez’s arresting voice that has captured a devoted fanbase. It comes as no surprise that her visceral 2013 EP “A Delightful Sadness” scored her a record contract and music video with Chance the Rapper on lead single “Out of Sight.” True to her strong sense of independence, Montanez subsequently opted to pursue her own uncompromising artistic vision. It took a pandemic worth of isolation and heartbreak to transform that raw power into the refined spectacle that is her first record in over a decade. Bolstered by the pristine production of Bill Karambelas and internationally acclaimed session musicians, her music is both transcendent and catchy, demonstrating the songwriter’s range and ability to transform deeply personal lyrics into searing and seductive rock. While conjuring vocalists like Amy Winehouse and Lauryn Hill, Montanez possesses her own unmistakable voice. Kelsey Montanez has been listed in the Chicago REDEYE as “15 artists to Watch" and celebrated in the Chicago Reader and Chicago Tribune. Montanez has headlined prominent Chicago venues such as the Metro, House of Blues, as well as festivals such as SXSW. Recently, Montanez was awarded the 2020 Magellan Musician in Residence at the historic Aqua Building.

Gold Light is the musical project of Joe Chang. Tracking through cinematic tales of heartache, love and loss while bouncing effortlessly between genres from 50’s rock and roll to post-punk to classic country and folk, Gold Light becomes a catchall for Chang’s prismatic take on American music.
Currently based in Asheville and forming in 2013, Joe has written, self-recorded, and performed most of the instrumentation on his five full-length albums. Fleshing out the band live with a rotating cast of musicians throughout the years, Gold Light has played over 200 shows with the majority of them being on the road. “Blood Summer”, Gold Light’s latest album, comes out 3 February, 2022.

Annabelle’s Curse is an electrified indie-folk band from Bristol, TN/VA. The band has developed a reputation for high energy live shows and immersive studio albums. Its members are Tim Kilbourne (vocals, banjo, guitar), Carly Booher Edwards (vocals, mandolin), Zack Edwards (guitar), Travis Goyette (drums), Kirk Bagnall (auxiliary percussion), and Andrew Clark (bass). They have released five full-length albums and one EP. 
 
Since forming in 2010, Annabelle’s Curse has toured extensively, developing a devoted fan base throughout the southeast and mid-Atlantic. They have supported acts such as Blues Traveler, Anderson East, Langhorn Slim, Amythyst Kiah, 49 Winchester, Folk Soul Revival, Humming House, The Black Lillies, The Hackensack Boys, Allison Russell, and honeyhoney. The band has performed at Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion 10 times and has played Floydfest, RoosterWalk, Fall for Greenville, NC Brewer’s Fest, Music City Roots on PBS, and countless other festivals and events.

The story behind the song - My parents, Blanks & Tanya Marie Bettenhausen, died when I was 10 months old. The song is about my relationship to my grief losing them so young. It was hard growing up because there was no textbook for how to deal with this specific type of loss. I was put in a lot of general counseling but the only place I saw myself represented were characters like Sabrina, and Harry Potter. That’s why I wanted to write this song and share my story, because if it helps even one person, then it was worth opening up about.

Self described star gazers and forest dwellers, Day & Dream creates music that sounds like your favorite warm fuzzy blanket. Long time artists, musicians and singer/songwriters, Peter Frizzante and Abby Amaya, initially met in New York City, but didn't start their indie-rock dreampop shoegaze band together until they moved to  Asheville, North Carolina. Abby’s roots are in California 60s coastal pop, while Peter’s is post-punk, indie-rock. Working together, the now husband and wife team showcase their admiration for sun-soaked sonic landscapes, lo-fi lounge, neo-psychedelia, fuzzy guitars, jazz tones, and melodic pop structures. Reverb soaked and layered with soft whispery vocals, the result is an energetic and memorable reverie. Peter, the morning person, and Abby, the night owl -- their band name is a nod to their opposite sleep schedules. The pair is often writing music or lyrics at home in between work and daily chores, finding inspiration in the human condition and the pain and joy of life. The band has played with many different local drummers (Jake Cavinder, Matt Hendler, Mike Fasano) and bass players (Marcos Waldheim, Erik Jan, Lowell Hobbs, Matt Tobia, Daniel Hyman). Their first  single, Nocturnal Creatures,  was recorded at El Rancho Morbido Studios with Ryan Slagle (Black Mountain, NC) and debuted in July 2018. This was soon followed by their first full length album, “With Every Breath You Die” in February 2019,  recorded at Standard Electric Studios with Engineer Damon Moon & mastered by Greg Hendler in Atlanta. They went back to the studio in July of 2019 to record a handful of  tracks at Echo Mountain Studios (Asheville, NC). The singles were engineered by  Kenny Harrington, mastered by Jason NeSmith of Chase Park Transduction Studios (Athens, GA) & Geoff Pesche of world renowned Abbey Road Studios (London).  After canceling most shows booked for the last two years, the band has stayed busy indoors with numerous live streams & shooting music videos. They’ve had singles featured on several compilations: Green Witch Records  (NYC), Sunday Records (Chicago), Stereoactive Media (Austin/Brooklyn), Shoegaze  Pilipinas (Philippines), Holy Crap Records (Black Mountain, NC), Editoris (Panama), OIM Records (Oakland, CA), Bummer Recordings (Chattanooga, TN), and Shiny Happy Records (Indonesia). In 2021, they signed with Lilystars Records (ADA, Warner Music Group), owned by Clementine Castro (Oranges & Lemons, The Camerawalls). The band issued several singles: Rabbit Hole, Separation Anxiety, and a remix of Cabin Fever by indie-electropop legends, Sweet Trip. Their second album, "The Art of Remembering" (mixed & mastered by Chrisanthony Kryptoneum Vinzons), released in February 2022, followed by a bout of live shows. Canadian born but raised in Ireland, Cormac Russell has taken his music across the globe, including tours in England and China. He released his acclaimed fourth album titled 'Ghost Town' last year, which won some very favorable reviews in the press, as well as airplay on national and international radio. He will be releasing his fifth LP titled 'The Year I Broke The Stars' on October 28th. Playing all the instruments himself, he draws from a wide range of influences; from indie contemporaries like Kurt Vile and Bill Callahan to literary giants like Whitman and Rimbaud.
